Event Details

The following 2-hour illustrated lecture is intended to provide the general public with basic scientific information to help understand current controversies regarding each topic. No previous knowledge of science or math is necessary.

This year is the international “Year of Soils”- the introduction to the talk will include an interesting fact about soil.

Hormone-like chemical compounds in our drinking water supply originate primarily from human excretions of natural and synthetic compounds, and appear to disrupt functioning of human and animal endocrine systems. This talk discusses the role that these “endocrine disruptors” can play in the adverse health effects that are showing up all over the world.
