Wet Wednesday is a weekly party at the Riptide and a monthly benefit hosted by Surfpulse.com with a Las Olas Surfboard raffle for non-profits and worthy causes. January 13th edition features free pizza served from the Pizza Place on Noriega, DJ Paul will be spinning reggae, funk, soul, house and breaks and surf flicks will be played on the big screen.
$5 Raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win a 6’2″ swallow tail quad bio-foam shaped by Las Olas Surfboards with original artwork by the Friends of Sharon Art Studio Executive Director Lani Rovzar. Other great prizes will be donated by Java Beach Cafe, Timbuk2, Mocha 101, the Pizza Place on Noriega, the Red Vic Movie House and Jaimal Yogis, author of Saltwater Buddha.
A percentage of the bar and tips will be donated and Sierra Nevada will donate $1 for every pint of their beer sold at the party. Wet Wednesday benefit party to support low-cost art camps for teens. The Sharon Art Studio is San Francisco’s largest public community art center and is located in Golden Gate Park. Proceeds raised at the benefit will help support low-cost art camps for teens this summer.
