Email muni.diaries.sf@gmail.com and tell them why your bus line is the funnest cheap ride in the city and one reader will win two tickets to Muni Diaries Live on October 29, 2010! Put the tag line “Funcheap” in your email. Deadline to enter is Friday October 29th, at noon.

Muni is full of urban legends including the woman with the live chickens, to flash mobs nudists flooding buses. MUNI Diaries Live is for those individuals who venture daily onto the bus and need an outlet to recount all the urban insanity. Story tellers include:

  • Derek Powazek of Fray Magazine
  • Comedian Bucky Sinister
  • Isaac Fitzgerald of the literary club The Rumpus
  • Tara the sea shanty songstress from our first show is back
  • and you: there’ll be an opportunity to tell your Muni story on stage, with prizes galore!

Come one, come all and have a drink with us and share your stories from whichever line it is that takes you around the city.  This is the Halloween show so wear a costume! Routes serving the area: BART 24th St. Station, 12, 14, 22, 33, 48, 49, 67

HOSTED BY Eugenia Chien and Jeff Hunt are the founders and editors of Muni Diaries, a website where riders share tales from life on the bus. Muni Diaries documents urban life through the lens of public transportation. The San Francisco Weekly called Muni Diaries “the best alternative model of civic journalism.”
