Get ready for a vibrant, high-energy evening of music, dance, and culture at TAMASHA: An Extravaganza of Desi Fusion—a festive celebration spotlighting creativity and community.
Headlining the night is none other than Bollywood star Raja Kumari—the Grammy-nominated artist, rapper, and songwriter known for her powerful fusion of Indian classical music with hip-hop, R&B, and electronic influences. A trailblazer in global fusion, she’s collaborated with major names like Iggy Azalea, Sidhu Moosewala, Divine, Gwen Stefani, and John Legend.
The festivities begin at 5 PM at Stanford’s beautiful Frost Amphitheater, with a DJ set by Vani Dewan, followed by a dance party featuring the Bay Area’s own Duniya Dance & Drum Company, a dazzling drag performance by The Masala Mahal with Bindi Masala, Chai Auntea, and Shaidy Bee, and lively emceeing from comedian Abby Govindan.
But TAMASHA is more than just a concert—it’s a full festival experience for all ages. Enjoy henna, hands-on art activities, craft vendors, and a mouthwatering food lineup, from spicy tikka burritos and pizza-style naan to small-batch chai, decadent desserts, and artisanal ice creams.
