Event Details

TEDxAlameda is pleased to provide a free live simulcast at the Alameda Free Library of the complete second day of the TED2014 conference taking place in Vancouver, B.C. on Tuesday, March 18, 2014.

Free, but an RSVP is requested by calling the Library at 510-747-7713.

2014 marks TED’s 30th anniversary and the theme is “The Next Chapter.” The conference will be seeking to understand what have been the most significant developments of the last 30 years … and applying that knowledge to understand what’s ahead.

There will be five sessions throughout the day. The library will present three main sessions:

  • Retrospect from 8:30-10:15 am,
  • Reshape from 11 am to 12:45 pm
  • Wish from 6-7:45 pm.

In addition to the main sessions there will also be two “All Star” sessions that bring back TED favorites for short talks and updates. These two sessions will be Planet Dearth from 2-3:15 pm and Beauty and the Brain from 3:45-5 pm. All sessions are open and free to the public.
