The 16th annual month-long celebration features behind the scenes and walking tours, films, exhibitions, lectures and more that address varying aspects of the design and planning process.
This years festival theme, “We the City”, aims to explore how cultural diversity and connectivity inspire and inform the built environment. From the Dogpatch to the Outer Sunset — San Francisco is a unique, diverse, and multi-generational mosaic.
From Robin Petravic and Catherine Bailey of Heath Ceramics, comes a captivating and unprecedented look at the role of tile in great design. Celebrate the official launch of Tile Makes the Room in style with a party at Heath on September 30, from 7-9 pm, with a talk and slideshow of tile and design around the world from 6:15 to 7.
Free, but an RSVP is required through Eventbrite. (Please note, there will be very limited seating for the talk, so please make sure to sign up separately from the party.)
Robin and Cathy will also be available to sign the book during the party, and we’ll also be selling very limited edition Tile Makes the Room themed bud vases – available that night only – to commemorate the big event.
