Want to know the best ways to stay safe on the water? In observance of National Safe Boating Week, join Treasure Island Sailing Center to learn about boat safety and hop on a free sailboat ride from 11 am to 4 pm on May 18, 2013.
Free, but an RSVP is required.
Learn simple practices for water safety and of course, have some fun on the water with free sailboat rides all day, plus watch Coast Guard rescue demonstrations, and play games with the whole family. Starting at 11 am, the first 100 visitors to this event will receive a free life jacket.

- 11 am: Free life vests to the first 100 people
- 11 am to 4 pm: Free sailboat rides
- 11 am to 4 pm: Vessel safety checks
- 12 pm: Presentations by Treasure Island Sailing Club and other local agencies
- 2 pm: Coast Guard rescue demonstrations and tours
Plus, enjoy games, crafts, and fun for the whole family. A BBQ lunch will available for purchase from TISC.
