Event Details

“Breast cancer and COVID-19: caring for yourself and how we are caring for you during the pandemic”

You are all invited to join us on Wednesday, April 15th as Dr. Hope Rugo hosts the next UCSF Bay Area Breast Cancer Forum VIRTUALLY from 6:00-730 pm PST (Zoom information is at the bottom of the message)

Many of us are searching for information on COVID-19 and what precautions to take. At this forum, we will discuss how people with breast cancer can best care for themselves and how we at UCSF are caring for breast cancer patients during the COVID-19 crisis.

We encourage you to participate by submitting questions ahead of time but you can also ask questions during the forum. We hope that this forum can help ease some of the anxiety and panic that people are experiencing by providing information from trusted UCSF providers. This forum presents a wealth of information and is open to the public so please help share this event with anyone who may be interested.

We kindly ask that you RSVP to let us know if you are able to attend this virtual forum on Wed 4/15 from 6pm to 730pm PST.

FORUM PANEL ANNOUNCED!!!
We are happy to announce the panel of UCSF providers for the forum on 4/15 (from left to right): Dr. Hope Rugo (Forum Moderator and Director of UCSF Breast Oncology and Clinical Trials Education), Dr. Laura Esserman (Director of the UCSF Carol Franc Buck Breast Care Center), Dr. Manisha Israni-Jiang (Medical Director of the UCSF Cancer Acute Care Center), and Dr. Pelin Cinar (Medical Director of Quality & Safety for the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center).

We’d love to hear from you!
If you have any questions or suggestions on how we can continue to improve the forum or if you have topic recommendations, please e-mail our forum organizer Melody Gawliu at BayAreaBreastCancerForum@ ucsf.edu .
