Ukrainian Film Fundraiser: “My Thoughts Are Silent”(SF)

Join us on March 18th for our second Ukrainian Film Fundraiser at The Polish Club in San Francisco!

5:00 pm – doors open, enjoy food/drinks
5:30 pm – film begins
After movie – food/drinks, reflection

We will be screening the comedy-drama:
My Thoughts Are Silent/ Мої Думки Тихі
(2019) with English subtitles, 1 hr 43 min

All are welcome – it will be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy Ukrainian cinema, get together as a community, and make new friends!
We recommend a donation of $10-20 for admission, which will be used to purchase tactical medical supplies to send to Ukraine on behalf of Волонтерський Рух (Volunteer Movement), a Ukrainian-based organization established in 2014 to provide aid to Ukrainian defenders and civilians. Every admission comes with popcorn, and we will have local art and crafts for sale by Ukrainian-American artists, including original paintings, prints, and crochet, with all proceeds going to various Ukrainian organizations.

The Polish Club has graciously donated the space for our event and is collaborating with us. They will be selling Polish food and drinks, such as tea and soda, with proceeds going toward the upkeep of the Polish Club.Attendees can visit our writing station to create a note, letter, or artwork to send to Ukrainian defenders in our next shipment. We will also have an interactive station where attendees can reflect on the movie in a collaborative way.
