Ukrainian Independence Day: Free Concert & Dance Performance (Golden Gate Park)

“Ukrainian Day” in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park commemorates Ukrainian Independence Day (August 24) when Ukraine declared its sovereignty after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. Since 2000, this free event has shared Ukraine’s traditional and contemporary culture with the Bay Area community for over twenty years.

Ukraine now faces an unprovoked Russian war on the sovereign nation of Ukraine that has killed thousands, displaced millions, and caused economic devastation. This year’s event is dedicated to the Ukrainian people and their many American supporters who are standing for freedom and human dignity against Russia’s terror.
