Uptown Bar 30th Anniversary Celebration: December 26 – 28 | Mission Dist.
The Uptown, a favorite dive bar in San Francisco’s Mission District is celebrating 30 years with three days of events, December 26 – 28, 2014. All events are free and open to the public (21 & over).
Recently the Uptown’s employees have recently bought the bar after the owner, Scott Ellsworth, died several months ago. Come help them celebrate this achievement and the legacy of its former owner.
On Friday you’ll pay 1984 drink prices if you wear an Uptown T-Shirt.

Friday, December 26 – 6 pm to 10 pm | Birthday Reunion Party
Celebrating Uptown Founder Scott Ellsworth, current and former staff, regulars and all community members. Wear an Uptown T-Shirt and pay 1984 prices.
Saturday, December 27 – 6 pm | Musical Review & BBQ Feast
Featuring musicians who have called Uptown home over the years, including Mindi Hadan, Douglas Katelus and Ivy & Devon.
Sunday, December 28 – 6 pm | Uptown Salon
An evening of poetry & prose by local writers, hosted by Uptown Bartender & Poet Tym Butler.
