2019 Architecture & the City Festival | SF
The 16th annual month-long celebration features behind the scenes and walking tours, films, exhibitions, lectures and more that address varying aspects of the design and planning process.
This years festival theme, “We the City”, aims to explore how cultural diversity and connectivity inspire and inform the built environment. From the Dogpatch to the Outer Sunset — San Francisco is a unique, diverse, and multi-generational mosaic.
The joys of play and of playing with architecture and film are celebrated in this year’s Architecture & The City Festival film series, which includes documentaries and animated shorts from local and international filmmakers.
For these Danish parkour experts, Copenhagen is one huge playground, as they take spectacular leaps from roofs, roll over concrete and “fly” from gate to post. And with Big Architects’ buildings giving them extra leverage, the free runners and the architects explore the function of architecture and the liberating power of free running.
Films are free, but registration is required.
