Event Details

VMworld, VMware’s annual conference for virtualization and cloud computing, is in town (August 24-28, 2014), and to show their appreciation to their paying attendees, they’re throwing a customer appreciation party in Yerba Buena Gardens on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.

While you have to have a VMworld badge to officially attend the customer appreciation party, we believe you might be able to enjoy a few of the spectacles taking place including cirque entertainers performing acrobatic feats, a world class acoustic guitarist, and the highlight, a live feed of The Black Keys performance taking place inside Hall D.

There will be a live feed of the show on a 30’ video wall located on the Mission Street side of Yerba Buena Gardens.

Please note, we’re not sure how fenced off Yerba Buena Gardens will be, but in our past experience, there is usually a few areas and pathways in the gardens that are left open to the public where you can see without a badge. We’re not sure if you’ll be able to congregate in these spaces or if they’ll make people move along. We suspect if you’re in the area, you will most likely be able to hear The Blacks Keys live stream and hopefully you will be able to see the 30′ screen as well.

You should be able to see the acrobatic performances from outside the perimeter as the stage is likely elevated as seen in the photo above.

Please note, we’re not sure of the start time for The Black Keys. The photo on the website (above) says the performance starts at 7:30 pm; however, the website says they will take the stage at 8:30 pm.
