“Waste Not Fest” Eco-Market w/ Patagonia at Sports Basement (Presidio)

Join us for an informative and fun day at Waste Not Fest with Patagonia Worn Wear, Simple Eco-Market & Refillery, Sports Basement, and others! Refreshments and snacks are provided throughout the day.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Bring in your favorite piece of gear that needs some love, and Patagonia’s Worn Wear repair techs will fix it for free—any brand, one garment per person. Repairs are performed on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Engage with businesses making eco-friendly house and body items that you will WANT to use. These are top-shelf products made from materials and products sourced by Abbe Hoenscheid Clemons of Simple Eco Market & Refillery that focus on eco-friendly manufacturing and packaging.

• Engage with representatives from MSR, Thermarest, and Platypus for gear repairs (Mattresses, Water Filters, Stoves, Tent pole shock cord replacement, and minor tent repair).

• Receive onsite valuation from Sports Basement’s Pre-Loved ambassador for your resellable gear and apparel.

• Enjoy a free opportunity to learn how to Sashiko/visible mend with Bay Area artist Lisa Solomon. More intensive instruction will be given at 11:30 and 1:30, respectively, but drop-ins are welcome and encouraged throughout the day. Basic repair materials will be provided – thread, needles, and fabric markers. There will be limited fabric to use as patches. Bring a garment you wish to repair and any extra fabric you have to use as patch material. Space is limited. First-come, first-served.
