Event Details

The Mill Valley Public Library is proud to sponsor the West Coast launch of “Best American Poetry 2012” on November 8, 2012.

Started in 1988 by writer and poet David Lehman, this annual anthology has become one of the mainstays of the poetry publication world.

RSVP is recommended as space is limited.

An impressive lineup of poets, including Pulitzer Prize winner Rae Armantrout, California Book Award winner Jane Hirshfield, former poet laureate Kay Ryan, Pushcart Prize winner Brenda Hillman, and T.S. Eliot Prize winner Dean Rader, along with Amy Glynn Greacen, Bruce Bond, and Stephanie Brown, will read their own selections from the anthology as well as poems from other works.

The anthology and other publications by the poets will be on sale during the event. Poets will be available for book signing.
