SOUNDWAVES PRESENTS BANDING TOGETHER
BANDING TOGETHER is a West Coast-based virtual concert special designed to raise funds and awareness for aspects of the music community affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting “shelter-in-place” protocols.
Hosted by the Soundwaves TV team of Chasta, Dennis Willis, Steven Kirk and Morris Knight, Banding Together will feature “at-home” performances from noteworthy artists, guest appearances from media luminaries, and interviews with representatives from schools to venues, recording studios, and record stores threatened by the immediate shutdown.
THE THEME:
Save the music. Save the World.
Every aspect of the music world has been adversely affected. The goal of this special is to celebrate music and to support the outlets, schools and studios necessary to keep the music playing.
Inspired by recent virtual concert events, and similar to the annual Soundwaves Xmas specials, businesses and nonprofits will be supported by passthrough donation links, interviews, and pre-produced spotlight videos.
Banding Together will premiere Memorial Day at noon on soundwavesTV.com, as well as simultaneously on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Roku and Twitch. It is a co-presentation between 1077 The Bone and HOWLiVE. The special will be archived afterward on soundwavesTV.com.
