California is experiencing its wettest winter in three years, and the fungal kingdom is racing to reproduce. Come on a walk with Naturalist Trent Pearce and explore what’s fruiting. The walk will focus on common fungal families and genera.

Free, but an RSVP is required.

The group will meet rain or shine at noon at Canyon Meadows Staging Area, Redwood Regional Park (7867 Redwood Rd, Oakland). Dress to get wet/muddy, and bring drinking water. The walk is 2 hrs long and will cover 2 miles with an 1,000′ elevation change.

Please note, this walk is educational and will not include tasting or collecting.
