Event Details

in her latest book, entrepreneur Margaret Heffernan argues that the biggest threats we face are the ones we don’t see – not because they’re secret or invisible, but because we’re willfully blind.

She examines the phenomenon and traces its imprint in our private and working lives, and within governments and organizations, and asks: What makes us prefer ignorance?

The book explores how willful blindness develops and how institutions and individuals can combat it.

TechShop is a workshop that provides members with access to tools and equipment, instruction, and a community of supportive people so they can build the things they have always wanted to make. A tour will follow the author talk.
