New Year’s Eve With Ramones Punk Tribute Band | Outer Sunset

The Sunset surfer dive bar Riptide hosts a FREE New Year’s Eve show by Remones, the Oakland-based cover band of punk rock legends The Ramones.

FROM THE HORSE’S MOUTH: “We play tribute to the most influential and greatest rock band of all time, The Ramones. We look like the Ramones, sound like the Ramones, and play as fast as the Ramones. We do the whole Ramones show with leather jackets, tight jeans, shaggy haircuts, and props. Unlike many Ramones cover bands we play all down strokes on the guitar and bass as well as 8th notes on the high hats. This demanding style of playing creates that signature “Ramones wall of sound.’“
