This conference has been an enormous success the past 12 years and aims to advance the personal finance and financial literacy skills of over 300 young women, ages 18-30, and high schoolers in Oakland/Berkeley and the greater Bay Area. Our goal is to give as many young women the opportunity to learn about financial literacy as possible. In the past the conference has been held at the Oakland Marriott Hotel and more recently the Impact Hub in Oakland. This year we are going to be hosting this event virtually and will includes keynote speakers, workshop presenters, and raffle prizes throughout the day. We see many new faces as well as returning attendees. Some returning attendees have formed sisterhoods and encourage each other to achieve their financial goals. The day is all about empowering young women!

“As I come into different stages of adulthood, I find the conference helps me answer questions I face at work and for my own financial independence” – Conference Attendee 2019

“This conference reminds me that I need to take action and stop postponing” – Conference Attendee 2018

“I have been to 4 YWCA Young Women & Money Conferences. Before I came I had zero knowledge about financial planning, but now I have paid off my car, started an emergency fund, opened a Roth IRA and started investing. I am now starting to think what I really want in life ” – Conference Attendee 2017

“I love this conference because it is really inspiring to see other women like the speakers, be successful in their dreams … it helps me know that I am not alone in my struggles” – Conference Attendee 2016
