Sure, there’s bike-sharing in Paris and Montreal, but did you know there’s also programs in Washington D.C., Denver and Chicago?
Mayor Newsom and city officials will be showing off San Francisco’s own bike sharing program, thanks to a $7.9 Million pilot program. Come see the future of commuting.
The event will showcase systems from some of the nation’s leading bicycle share vendors. The public is invited to come test ride the bicycles and kiosk stations and experience the technology for themselves.
WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Similar to car sharing, bicycle sharing is a term used to describe a membership-based system of short-term bicycle rental. People can check a bicycle out from a network of automated bicycle kiosk stations, ride to their destination, and return the bicycle to a different station.
