>> Want to see our Top Picks for this week instead?
The Rafael continues its quarterly series Everybody’s Classics, featuring big-screen presentations of classic films offered free to the public and made possible through the support of the Koret Foundation.
One of director Alfred Hitchcock’s most exhilarating entertainments, this scenic comedy-thriller propels advertising executive Cary Grant from the safety of New York City to the hazards encountered in crop-dusted cornfields and atop Mount Rushmore, when he is mistaken for a government agent by sinister spies James Mason and Martin Landau. Beautiful Eva Marie Saint comes along for the ride, while Leo G. Carroll steps in for Uncle Sam. Featuring a witty screenplay by Ernest Lehman and a rousing score by Bernard Herrmann. (US 1959) 136 min.
