Come out and enjoy Concord’s Home Town Parade, Picnic and Fireworks, taking place at Mt. Diablo High School (only three blocks from Todos Santos Plaza), on July 4, 2016.
The day starts at 8 am with a 5K Run & Walk/Kids Fun Run. Then, at 10 am the parade will start from Mt. Diablo High School, it will head south to Willow Pass Road, wrapping around Todos Santos Plaza, heads right on Mt. Diablo Street and back to the high school.
Starting at 4 pm, the gates will open for the third annual 4th of July Festival with a kids carnival, food booths, vendor exhibits, and live entertainment on stage featuring Stung: The Police Tribute.
The day will conclude with a 9 pm fireworks display that will not disappoint.
Parade is free but if you’re going to join the Fun Run, registration starts at $30.00 postmarked by June 24th or until July 3rd, on-line by 8 am PST. Your entry fee includes a goody bag with great freebies, gift certificates, coupons and a Brenden Theaters movie ticket for each 5K participant. All proceeds from this race benefit Monument Crisis Center and Bay Area Crisis Nursery. They will also be doing in- person registration for the 5K and Kids Fun Run at packet picket up on Sunday, July 3rd at a new location this year; RoadRunner Sports, with 2 time options, 11am-2pm or 4pm-7pm.
