The Infamous T & A Self-Made Man | “Frameline Encore”: Free Edgy Queer Film Series | Bay Area

This pair of documentaries explores queer youth experiences as they intersect with race, class, and gender identity.

The Infamous T
Homeless, bullied, and failing out of high school, 18-year-old Jonathon moves in with queer host parents, transfers schools, and forms a dance crew. As he struggles to mesh with his new household, stay in school, and be his most authentic self, he discovers that home is more than four walls and that friendship can transform us. This film is a Frameline Completion Fund recipient.

A Self-Made Man
Tony Ferraiolo is an endearing trans youth advocate who shares his personal female-to-male journey while mentoring transgender kids and advising their families. He lives by the credo “create yourself,” which saved his life and gave him wings. Tony’s self-transformation has prepared him uniquely to serve as a youth advocate for trans and gender-variant kids and their families.
