1AM Gallery’s current exhibit, “Tabi Tabi Po”, is an art benefit for the Filipino victims of the devastating typhoons that hit the Philippines back in September. The show is dedicated to the exploration of Filipino folklore creatures. “Tabi Tabi Po” is a respectful way to say “Excuse me” when passing these creatures… in hopes that this will be enough for them not to bother you.
Closing Reception Details: 12/12/09 – The closing reception is going to showcase music by Baliktad, a two man team made up of Puzzle (aka Alex Abalos) and Mike Boo (a turntablist not only known in the Bay but around the world). They will be spinning and playing sounds incorporating break beats, traditional Filipino instruments and city noises.
