Toad & Salmon’s “Chili Bowl” 2013: Cook-Off & Skateboard Tournament | SF

2014 Update – We’ve been told by the promoters that the Chili Bowl is not taking place for 2014.

Local skateboarding legends Toad & Salmon will host their 9th annual “Chili Bowl” cook out and skate-off at La Raza Skatepark in Potrero del Sol Park from 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday, August 31, 2013.

Watch local skateboarders compete to see who has the best kickflip in the city and stick around for the chili cook-off contest.

In 2013, there will be skate pools for local skateboarding masters, as well as a Kids Masters contest and a Girls Open, all in a custom-made concrete bowl.

Preliminary rounds of the skateboard contest will be followed by the chili cook-off (in past years, after the judging is over, leftovers were free while they lasted). Skateboard finals are generally in the afternoon.

Free and open to the public to watch. No alcohol please.
