The Annual “Urban Iditarod” race (March 6, 2010) through San Francisco makes Bay to Breakers look tame – Racers use shopping carts as sleds through the streets of San Francisco as hundreds of human participants, many dressed in canine-themed costumes, pull shopping carts filled with kegs and coolers across a 4-mile landscape.

Just announced: Starting location and time!

  • Start Time: 1pm, Saturday March 6, 2010
  • Start Location: Willie Mays Statue in front of AT&T Park (3rd and King)
  • Event is free to watch, participation in the Iditarod costs $20 per team
  • Teams can be from 1-100
  • Participants must be in costume and have some sort of cart
  • Details: Laughing Squid
