Some Artists Include:

Ceramics

Gail Miles makes wheel thrown and hand built pottery all of which is 100% food-safe, microwave and dishwasher-safe. She describes her functional delights as “handmade, modern bohemian, rustic small-batch pottery,” Gail’s creations include a wide variety of bowls, plates, platters, mugs, tumblers, teacups, and jars.

Drawings

Jim Throgmorton creates mid-century/retro ‘atomic’ modern artwork. His drawings are original creations available as prints on canvas. Each limited edition is an artist-enhanced giclee print on high-quality artist canvas — hand numbered and signed. Jim only does a maximum of 50 editions and then retires the image.” In a nutshell, I enjoy creating whimsical art pieces and sharing them with people who get my quirky style,” he says. “All of my work is affordable, unique, whimsical, colorful art for homes, offices, restaurants, and commercial spaces.

Jewelry

Mi Jung Penzien of Alameda visualizes her jewelry as wearable art. She aims for simplicity in her jewelry which incorporates sterling silver and gems. “I like to create pieces that are not defined by tradition or boundaries, to free our minds and connect our hearts,” she says. “The process of creation from conception to completion is intimate and meditative. Each material has its own life.” Mi Jung is a graduate jewelry designer from the Gemological Institute of America and her work has been exhibited in numerous international trade shows, national jewelry design shows, as well as juried art and craft shows.

Wood

David Wertheimer‘s art is high quality unique home decor with a style that combines mid-century modern and steampunk. His table lighting, wall shelves and geometric wall art is designed with clean lines, simple shapes and beautiful woods, highlighting the natural grain and color. “Most of my pieces are original, inspired by the materials I have, a melding of pieces seen in San Francisco and in my travels, or on commission to meet particular needs and aesthetics,” says David. “All products are handcrafted and lovingly finished by myself.”

The Montclair Village Fall Art Walk takes place in the bustling Montclair shopping district on Mountain Boulevard at LaSalle Avenue, off highway 13, between Park Boulevard and Thornhill Drive.
