2nd Annual Halloween Comedy Competition | Castro

Every Tuesday at 9, Ronn Vigh offers a new, eclectic line up of some of gay and gay friendly stand up comedians. But for halloween, they’ll be throwing a comedy contest instead. Fifteen of the funniest Bay Area comics are slated to appear in character with the hopes of dazzling the judges and audience to win the $100 cash prize in the 2nd annual Harvey’s Halloween Comedy Competition.

In the spirit of Halloween, each contestant will perform up to five minutes as an original character.

Comedian Competitors:
Susan Maletta (Last year’s Third place winner, Nick at Nite’s Funniest Mom in America Competition), Nate Blanchard, Miles K., Beth Schumann, Loren Kraut, Colleen Watson, Kristee Ono and more.

The Host:
The competition will be hosted by CANDY CHURILLA as ” Lady HA HA.” She won the competition doing this character last year and is returning in the role to host the evening’s festivities.

Judges:
-Ameen Belbahri: Comedy Scenester and All Around Rad Dude. You may have seen him at The Punchline or as the photographer to many Bay Area and national comedians.
-W. Skye Paterson: Club Promoter and SF Socialite. Regular to Harveys Funny Tuesdays and he knows alot of characters.
-Pippi Lovestocking: San Francisco’s favorite fierce comedic tranny tart. Our favorite drag comedian, trivia hostess and co founder of Trannyshack
-The Audience: Last year it was the audience vote that helped propel the judge’s 3rd place choice- all the way to first! Each audience member gets to pick their top 3 favorites and the results are added in as a 4th judge’s vote.
