“826 Day” 15th Anniversary Block Party | Mission Dist.

You’re invited to a community block party hosted by 826 Valencia on… you guessed it… 8/26!

It’s called, “826 Day” and for their 15th anniversary, they’re doing it big. A whole city block big. Join in for a celebration of the community that has made their last 15 years great, and help send them into the next 15 years with a splash.

Expect an afternoon of hula hooping, classic carnival games, a Lemony Snicket Dunk Tank, birthday cake and live music including headliner Thao Nguyen of Thao and the Get Down Stay Down. Plus it’s co-hosted by Different Fur Studios

Face painting
Crafts and writing-based activities
Carnival games (all the classics!)
A bounce house
An immersive VR experience written by our students and animated by Google
A dunk tank (Word is that our dear and mysterious friend Lemony Snicket, or his colleague Daniel Handler, will be dunked at 3:15 p.m.)
