The NorcalMLK Foundation and Noontime Concerts are proud to announce an inspiring partnership themed Social Justice and Beloved Community, aligning the organizations’ shared values in social justice and the transformative power of the arts.
The collaboration will result in a unique program that will happen TUESDAY, JANUARY 9, 2024, at Old St. Mary’s Cathedral (660 California St at Grant in Chinatown) 12:30 pm to 1:30pm. This powerful commemorative concert curated by musician and director Dr. Carl Blake will serve as an invocation to the MLK Celebration Week, dedicated to honoring the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. legacy.
It is through the combined missions of the NorcalMLK Foundation, to advance civil and human rights, and Noontime Concerts, to make classical music performance and education accessible to everyone that our Beloved Community comes alive and thrives.
Featuring: Carl Blake, Piano; Hope Briggs, Soprano; Amy Brodo, Cello; Daniel Glover, Piano; Edward Graves, Tenor; Bradley Kynard, Baritone; William Underwood III, Flute
