10th Annual “Great Crucolo Parade” + Italian Cheese Celebration (Oakland)

This year is our 10th annual Crucolo Parade! Join us as we pay homage to one of our favorite Italian cheeses from the Trentino-Alto Adige region. Market Hall Foods is one of two shops in the United States that sells this creamy cow’s milk cheese. To celebrate its arrival, our expert cheesemongers, dressed in Italian garb, roll a cart carrying the gigantic Crucolo wheel down Shafter Avenue to live accordion music, dancing and fanfare. The parade starts at noon promptly and ends with a ceremonial cheese cutting and plenty of samples to go around.
