Event Details

Historically seen as the realm of men, tattooing has evolved in the last 25 years to include more women in the practice. Listen to four Bay Area women tattoo artists share their stories in this conversational discussion featuring Junii Shimada of Diamond Club Tattoo, Molly Kitamura of State of Grace and Quiana Dempsey of Sacred Rose Tattoo. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition, “Living Tattoo Traditions: American Irezumi and Beyond,” on view in Jewett Gallery at the Main Library through March 1, 2026.

Presented by San Francisco Public Library
