We commissioned local artists to paint more than 130 murals throughout the space. The Box Shop is one of the Bay Area’s largest open-air mural art exhibits.

* Take a stroll in our succulent garden, where plants and sculptures blossom in harmony.

* Meet the Artists:
The Box Shop is a haven for metalworkers, stone carvers, seamstresses, painters, woodworkers, sculptors, bicycle engineers, electronic car producers, and more. Bring your questions and quench your curiosity.

* See where Massive Art is born:
Colossal structures are created at The Box Shop. Some become treasured public art, like Entwined Meadow – an installation in Golden Gate Park in the winters of 2020-2024. We’re also a Burning Man arts community hub. Dozens of playa sculptures and art cars are built at The Box Shop. Check out the space, machinery, tools, and people that make this magic possible.
