Step into Southeast Asian New Year with a hands-on water blessing, Thai street food, and live cultural performances at the premier Southeast Asian Songkran Festival 2026, coming to Fulton Plaza at San Francisco’s Civic Center on Saturday, May 16.

This year’s outdoor festival invites attendees to take part in a traditional water blessing — a ritual symbolizing renewal and washing away the past year — alongside a full day of cultural programming.

Enjoy music and live performances, explore Southeast Asian food vendors featuring Northern Thai noodles, papaya salad, and Thai desserts, and experience a vibrant, community-driven celebration in a public setting. A community pageant and additional activities will also take place throughout the day.

Free and open to all as part of AAPI Heritage Month.
