Event Details

First: citizen video and understanding the weather.

How local engineers use you-tube video of flooding streets to help understand the storms we experience. We’ll see footage from Oct 20, 2009, when Folsom Street erupted.

Next: San Francisco filmmakers Jeanne C. Finley & John Muse and their most recent work
Manhole 452. Shot extremely locally, this fictionalized narrative follows the reflections of a man who was once almost killed by an exploding manhole cover.

He now rides the Geary bus to and from his job fitting prosthetic limbs, and is obsessed with the heavy steel plates which are everywhere. What are the odds? And how about the miracles?

These events are free and we welcome your curiosity.
