“Science of Cocktails” Open Bar Benefit Party at the Exploratorium (SF)

DJ Charles Hawthorne will weave together disco, house, club, and R&B in Osher Gallery 1 to create a unique dancefloor experience rooted in connection, presence, and movement. Their style uses striking percussive elements, lush instrumentation, and legendary vocals to pull people out of their heads and onto the dance floor. Charles builds a shared groove that transcends individual experience and facilitates a journey through the history and movement of Black queer dance music.

Guests will receive their Individual After Dark membership via email or ticket via mail no later than May 16, 2025.Science of Cocktails is a fundraising event that helps sustain programs like the Exploratorium’s After Dark Thursday Nights. For 15 years, After Dark has inspired joyful lifelong learning in adults (18+) with adventurous evenings of art and science.
