8 Days of Anarchy | SF & East Bay

Springtime in San Francisco brings tulips and anarchists.

Yes, from March 18-25, 2014, it’s time to shift gears to San Francisco’s other time-honored spring festival – Eight Days of Anarchy, an expression of autonomy with over a week of free study groups, film nights, workshops, book readings, symposiums, a picnic and downright mayhem.

Thursday, March 14, 2013
Anarchist Memorial | 8 Days of Anarchy | SF & East Bay

Join a memorial and celebration of Audrey Goodfriend, a lifelong anarchist who passed from this life in January. This will be a time to share stories and food in her memory.

There will be a potluck meal (bring chocolate, bread & cheese, vegan things, salad and fruit), plus a video, music (contact them if you have a song), and presentations.

“Born to anarchist immigrants in New York, Audrey grew up speaking Yiddish at home and lived in the Sholem Aleichem House; a radical cooperative housing project in the Bronx. Anti-zionist since before there ever was a state of Israel, Audrey and her comrades believed strongly that no state violence was ever justified.”
