Fridays are now a little bit more awesome. Did someone say $1 drinks?
Monroe in North Beach hosts “Battle of the Decades” DJ party and happy hour every Friday with a DJ spinning progressive tunes. Every hour is a different decade – with drink prices to match – $1 drinks during ’60s hour, $2 drinks during ’70s hour, and so on.
Battle of the Decades, a weekly Wednesday DJ party with music from a different decade every hour, is celebration its 1 year anniversary party.
Usually drink prices rise every hour as well – but on their anniversary day, December 4, 2013 – drinks – both wells and beer – are locked in at $2 all night.
And it’s not just crappy beer – Although the selection may change depending on what’s on tap, typically they have Speakeasy, Blue Moon, Anchor Steam, Stella in addition to Bud, Miller, Rolling Rock and PBR.
