Cultivate Festival 2014: Live Music, Chef Demos & Free Samples | Golden Gate Park
>> Want to see our Top Picks for this week instead?
Hellman Hollow | John F. Kennedy Drive and Transverse Drive, San Francisco, CA
Submitted by the Event Organizer
Like live music and (somewhat) affordable food? Then join 15,000+ in Golden Gate Park for a free one-day food, music and beer festival with cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, live music, local food artisans, regional beer and wines, and a special Chipotle festival menu.
The 2014 musical lineup features an excellent lineup of indie pop-rockers including Neon Trees (6:15 pm), Andrew McMahon, Charli XCX, Smallpools, and American Authors.
In addition to live music and on-site chef demonstrations, there will likely be interactive experiences focused on sustainable food, an Artisans’ Hall serving up local artisan-crafted food for free sampling (and for purchase), and a Brewers’ Hall serving local and specialty beers and wines.

Chefs featured at the 2014 event will include Graham Elliot (“Iron Chef” and “Top Chef Masters”); Amanda Freitag (Empire Diner, “Chopped” and “The Next Iron Chef”); Sarah and Evan Rich (Rich Table); Dennis Lee (Namu Gaji and Smokestack); Nick Balla and Courtney Burns (Bar Tartine); and Minh Tsai (Hodo Soy Beanery).
How much does it cost?
Admission is free, but bring cash for food and drinks.
How do I get free food?
Visit the five “experiences” around the festival and get your program stamped. Once you’ve completed at least four, bring your program to the Info Tent and you’ll receive a coupon for a free burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos and drink at any Chipotle (but unfortunately can’t be redeemed at the festival).
