Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.
The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.
Elizabeth Andoh is a Japanese food expert who has written several cookbooks and was Gourmet magazine’s Japan correspondent for many years.
Washoku covers the realm of traditional Japanese home cooking, while Kansha explores Japanese vegan traditions. There will be a chirashizushi tasting.
