The Return of SF’s Most Unique Art Fair: stARTup Takes Over Hotel del Sol
San Francisco’s beloved stARTup Art Fair is finally making its long-awaited return after a five-year pause, and it’s coming back with renewed energy and purpose. This one-of-a-kind art experience will take over the Hotel del Sol from April 18-20, 2025, transforming the vibrant 1950s motor lodge into a pop-up contemporary art showcase where every hotel room becomes a curated exhibition space.
The fair’s immersive concept invites visitors to explore over 60 independent artists as they turn each hotel room into a personal gallery, offering a rare opportunity to engage directly with the creators. Unlike traditional gallery settings, stARTup Art Fair fosters an intimate atmosphere where collectors, curators, and art lovers can connect with emerging and mid-career artists in a truly interactive way.
A Destination for Art Lovers
Coinciding with the prestigious San Francisco Art Fair at Fort Mason, just a short walk away, stARTup Art Fair places itself at the center of a dynamic weekend for the city’s art scene. With tens of thousands of visitors expected across both events, the Marina District will be buzzing with creativity and discovery.
The fair will also feature special performances, installations, and exhibitions from local nonprofit art organizations such as Root Division, 3.9 Collective, ArtSpan, and the Asian American Women Artists Association, among others.
