Thanks to SFGate for sharing the unfortunate news that Rock Wall Wine Company, located at 2301 Monarch St., Alameda, is shutting its doors on February 27, 2022.

The East Bay women-led winery, founded in 2008, is located on the former Alameda naval air base and offers beautiful views of the Bay and San Francisco skyline from its spacious patio.

Sadly, the owner and winemaker Shauna Rosenblum shared the news on their website:

We are sad to announce that the rising costs of doing business in the Bay Area compounded by facilities issues and the lasting financial implications of COVID closures have created an untenable situation for us to continue to operate. Rock Wall Wine Company will be closing its doors after 14 amazing years. The last day to enjoy the beautiful Tasting Room Tarmac is Sunday, February 27th. We really hope you can make it out to see us!

Read their full goodbye on their website.

The doors to the winery may be closing, but you can purchase wine its drive-through until June 5.
