The world’s fastest boats race on the Bay | July 4 – Aug 30

The Louis Vuitton Cup, the America’s Cup Challenger Series, is used as the selection series to determine who will race the Defender in the America’s Cup Finals. This is a round-robin racing series throughout July and August.

>> Where can I watch the races?  The America’s Cup Park is located on Pier 27/29 and the America’s Cup Village at Marina Green. Access to both venues is free. Screens will be located in both venues, including one in the America’s Cup Pavilion.

You can also view the races for free in person anywhere else along the Marina or Crissy Field, or from Angel Island.

July 5 – Race Day (Fleet Race / Parade)

11:15am-12:00pm AC72s depart for Boat Parade from Pier 27 to Marina Green
12:15pm-1:15pm AC72 racing, live on big screens, with commentary- Time Trials

12:00pm-1:00pm “AC Show” at America’s Cup Pavilion, with live commentary of Emirates Team New Zealand vs. Luna Rossa race starting at 12:15

Race Update: Team Luna Rossa has issued a press release saying it’s protesting proposed rule changes and boycotting the first day of racing on July 7. The America’s Cup says that the “race” will still go on with just Team New Zealand on the course – starting at 12;15pm and will have to finish the course to receive the first point in the challenge series.
