Bay Area Gets Brand New Summer Music Festival for 2023
The Bay Area is getting a brand new music festival.
Re:SET Bay Area is happening Friday, June 2 – Sunday, June 4 at Frost Amphitheater at Stanford. The music festival is curated by the artists themselves. Each headliner, LCD Soundsystem, Steve Lacy, and boygenius, chose their own supporting acts.
Re:SET was conceived as an artist and fan-friendly alternative to the standard summer concert experience. Taking place over four weekends in the month of June, each weekend will see three cities in the same region hosting, with each Re:SET headliner playing each city on consecutive days. The concept provides artists a respite from the cookie-cutter summer itinerary of sheds and amphitheaters, while fans get a leisurely day that features full sets from every artist, on one stage with no conflicts. The feel should be more intimate; Frost Amphitheater has a capacity of 8,000.
Friday, June 2
LCD Soundsystem, Jamie xx, IDLES, Big Freedia
Saturday, June 3
Steve Lacy, James Blake, Toro y Moi, Fousheé
Sunday, June 4,
boygenius, Clairo, Dijon, Bartees Strange
General admission tickets are $99.50, and 3-day tickets cost $250 (VIP tickets: $275 single day, and $650 for 3-day pass). Presale ticket access begins Feb. 7 at 10 am.
