Another Bay Area In-N-Out Closes for Violating the Health Order

Pleasant Hill has temporarily shut down and other Contra Costa locations halt indoor dining

Thanks to KRON4 for sharing the news that yet another In-N-Out has shut down for not complying with state and local health regulations.

Like the San Francisco In-N-Out, the Pleasant Hill location has been shut down for failing to check the customers’ COVID-19 vaccination status. The Contra Costa Environmental Health department suspended the restaurant’s food permit and effectively closed down the restaurant on October 26, 2021.

There is a note on the company’s website that states “This location is temporarily closed.” This location jas been fined four times for a total of $1,750 in recent weeks for violating the current health order.

While San Francisco’s only location initially was shut down for the same violation, it has since reopened for take-out and outdoor dining.

KRON4 notes that additional East Bay locations have also been fined recently for breaking the health mandate including San Ramon and Pinole; however, the In-N-Out website notes that both of those locations as well as Brentwood and Pittsburg (all located in Contra Costa County) have now closed their indoor dining.
