Bay to Breakers Live Race Canceled (Again) for 2021
The 109th running will have to wait, again.
Bay to Breakers, one of the first major events to postpone back at the beginning of COVID in 2020 has decided to cancel their live event for 2021 and convert again to the virtual race.
Upon further examination, and due to the size and nature of Bay to Breakers, we’ve made the unfortunate decision to cancel the live event and operate virtually.
– Bay to Breakers – 3/12/21
The annual race is typically in May, but postponed until August 2021. Just a few days ago, Bay to Breakers announced that the live event would be canceled for the second year in a row and would operate virtually.
