Bike To Work Day

An annual celebration for bike commuters w/ free coffee, snacks & other goodies

San Franciscans love biking and one of the most fun and rewarding days to bike is the annual Bike to Work Day celebration on Thursday, May 10, 2012.

Join the SF Bicycle Coalition and hundreds of thousands of lawyers, nurses, teachers, waiters and others who will be biking to work on this great day.

>> Energizer Stations will be set up in neighborhoods across the city in the morning and afternoon to offer free coffee, snacks and other goodies and mechanics will even check out your bicycle for free (at select locations).

Bike to Work Day 2012

    The SF Bike Co is gearing up for record numbers of happy bike commuters on Bike to Work Day this year and they need your help to cheer them on
  • Win Sweet Prizes
    Enter a free Bike to Work Day Raffle and win awesome Bike to Work Day prizes
  • Take the Team Bike Challenge
    Register your team and compete with other Bay Area commuters to win great prizes for bike commuting in May.
  • Bicycling Commuter Convoys
    Start the morning by riding your bike downtown (or to the Peninsula as far as Mountain View) with a Commuter Convoy. Commuter Convoys provide the enjoyment and safety of riding with a group and are led by experienced bicycle commuters.
  • 27 Energizer Stations
    Volunteers cheer on people riding bikes around San Francisco at 27 official Energizer Stations! Each station provides free donated snacks and beverages, as well as convenient reusable tote bags for future commutes, filled with goodies!
  • Bike Doctors
    Mechanics from local bike shops will help you dust off your old bike and provide free basic bike maintenance to get you rolling on Bike to Work Day, Thursday, May 12. Visit our Bike Doctors at one of these Energizer Stations (See map for Energizer Station locations):
    7:30-9:30am: Caltrain, Embarcadero, Marina, Mid-Market, Mission, Presidio, SOMA
    5-7pm: CalTrain, Chinatown, Duboce Bikeway, Embarcadero, Mission, Panhandle, SOMA
