Brand New Lights Twinkle in SF’s Precita Park

San Francisco’s Precita Park has some brand new twinkling string lights that are brightening up the holidays, bringing cheer to park users and those who cannot congregate indoors during the pandemic.
Bernal Heights resident Nigel Phillips spearheaded the effort, reaching out to Rec and Park and putting out a call for neighbors to help fund the lights. The community enthusiastically pitched in, reaching the goal in a single day. Thank you to Nigel and the community and thank you to our Precita RPD team that implemented it so quickly. These lights will remain until February when the community will be able to decide if these will be permanent.
