Opt out of today’s traffic gridlock and last-minute mall madness for a serene Christmas Eve hike on December 24, 2012 called “Miles from Macy’s.

Join docents Keith Johnsgård and Harry Cornbleet on this annual Christmas Eve hike and experience the serene silence and smog-free air of a world without concrete. You’ll walk a 2.5-mile loop that includes a stunning ridge-top grove of towering Douglas firs and (weather permitting) a lakeside stop for snacks beneath ancient canyon oaks.

Where to meet:
Meet at the Skyline Ridge Preserve parking lot on Skyline Boulevard located one mile south of the Page Mill/Alpine Road and Skyline Blvd. intersection. After entering the preserve, turn right and go to the farthest parking lot. Those traveling from I-280 on Page Mill Rd. should allow approximately 45 minutes travel time – details and directions
